Cut Copy is an Australian Indie Dance act comprising of Dan Whitford (Lead Vocals/Keys/Guitar), Tim Hoey (Guitar/Bass/Backing Vocals/Sampler) and Mitchell Scott (Drums). Their sound

Formed in 2001 as a project of Dan Whitford, the band has made a steady rise through the international dance ranks, today they are at the forefront. With the band experiencing considerable success in both the U.S and European markets, not to mention their ownership of the local Australian market along with worldbeaters Presets and Midnight Juggernauts.

In 2004 Cut Copy released their debut LP, Bright Like Neon Love. The album featured the singles ‘Saturdays’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Mashed 4), ‘Going Nowhere’ and ‘Future’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Chillout Sessions 5).

To coincide with the release of the album Cut Copy toured internationally for the first time in 2005, plating shows in London, New York and Los Angeles. They have toured with international acts Franz Ferdinand, Junior Senior, Bloc Party, and Mylo amongst others; in December of 2007, the band toured Australia with Daft Punk on the Nevereverland tour, the Sydney leg of which attracted a crowd of almost 50,000.

In 2008 Cut Copy released their second album In Ghost Colours, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA chart. The album featured the singles ‘Heart On Fire’, ‘Lights And Music’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Mashed 4) and ‘So Haunted’.
