André Tegeler is German DJ/Producer Moguai. Having produced records since 1994, it was his 2001 debut release under the moniker PUNX called ‘The Rock’ (which features on Ministry of Sound Breaks 03 and Ministry of Sound Mashed) that firmly planted his name amongst the international dance community.

The following year Moguai released one of the biggest records of 2002, ‘U Know Y’, which was a genre defining moment for dance music, fusing electro, rock and breakbeat elements to create an absolute dancefloor monster. The single featured on over 40 dance compilations worldwide, including Ministry of Sound Mashed, Ministry of Sound Clubbers Guide to 2003 and Ministry of Sound Breaks ’03. Moguai now had a winning production formula which he used to great effect on his next release ‘Get On’ (which features on the Ministry of Sound 2004 Annual). By this time the whole ‘rock electro’ genre had blown up, and his 2004 release “Freaks’ was equally as popular as it’s predecessors, with radio and club jocks the world over giving it support.

In addition to producing his own material, Moguai is an internationally acclaimed remixer and has been able to bring his style to tracks by well-known acts such as X-Press2 feat. David Byrne (Talking Heads), Fischerspooner, Timo Maas and 2raumwohnung. Moguai’s 2005 remix of the club hit “Geht’s Noch” by Roman Flügel (Alter Ego) features on the Ministry of Sound Kid Kenobi Sessions, and his 2003 remix of Planet Funk’s ‘Who Said (Stuck In The UK)’ features on the Ministry of Sound 2004 Annual.
