Dominating the 2012 InTheMix Awards, Soapbox Artists have broken away from the mess and noise to take out the biggest accreditations at the annual award ceremony. With Tommy Trash (NSW), Uberjakd (SA) and Bombs Away (WA) taking out the NUMBER 1 DJ positions in their respective states (with Tom Piper (NSW) joining the champions within the national TOP 10), and agency newcomers Kronic (#17), Dixie (#21), Ember (#22), Chardy (#35) and SCNDL (#42) filing rank amongst the 50 top DJ’s in the country, it was among our biggest sweep at the awards to date.

In addition to topping the NSW rankings, Tommy Trash also took home the industry voted ‘Most Influential Person in Australian Dance Music’ award, an accolade fitting for the one man production power-house as he prepares to return to Australia in November as party of the 2012 Stereosonic Festival Tour.

Sam La More has held his place atop the domestic production world. With his side project Tonite Only claiming the ‘Best Dance Track Of The Year’ in 2011 with their anthemic single ‘We Run The Night’, in 2012 it was Parachute Youth’s ‘Can’t Get Better Than This’, which was produced by Sam, which took out the number one position.

A big congratulations to all Soapbox Artists on their achievements in this years awards.
