Over the past year, FATHERDUDE has become a breakout artist with songs totalling over 10 million plays on SoundCloud and another 4.5 million on YouTube. The Harlem-based singer is now ready to take a stand with his new EP The Balance, out now on etcetc Music. Ornamented with punchy synths, bouncy basslines, and soulful vocals, FATHERDUDE is breaking through the confines of traditional electronic music, and he's coming out in full swing.
Excited for what the future has in store, FATHERDUDE says, "The Balance' is a testament to the great producers and musicians I work with." The talent is real too. Grammy nominated hip-hop producer !llmind (Drake, J.Cole, Kanye West) is featured on two cuts. Brooklyn rap figurehead Joell Ortiz of Eminem-founded Shady Records makes an appearance, demonstrating FATHERDUDE's diverse appeal and local influence, and the EP also features buzzing musician-focused dance music makers Brasstracks, future bass pioneer Infuze, and forward-thinking producer Konrad OldMoney (riff-raff, Pegboard Nerds).
FATHERFAFFFFF first cracked onto the scene alongside Sydney-based producer GRMM with Electrify which reached #2 on the Australian iTunes Electronic Charts and received high rotation on triple j. His Australian collaborations continued with Slumberjack for the song Body Cry and helped their debut EP also chart at #2 on the Australian iTunes Electronic Charts.
