Body Ocean

Body Ocean is an exploration project through dance music from international artists Jeremy (The Upbeats) and Nik (Noisia). The duo met through the drum and bass scene and formed a close friendship over international waters of New Zealand and the Netherlands, with a love of each other’s countries, culture and music taste.

 

After a significant Dirtybird party attendance and watching a DJ set from Green Velvet, they were enticed by a new vibe to explore the broader dance music spectrum.

 

That musical freedom and ‘genre-agnostic’ attitude provided an exciting departure point from their previous projects and a journey of exploration with Body Ocean. Finding influences in a multitude of sounds ranging from R&B, Eurohouse through to Garage, the duo are armed with years of production experience but are approaching this project by unlearning the rules, letting go of what is comfortable and creating new combinations to allow for eclectic experimentation.

 

When it comes to performing Body Ocean create euphoric high points and introspective low points on a dancefloor with a totally different aesthetic than ever before. Body Ocean is the musical equivalent of rushing out onto the beach to dive headfirst into the rolling waves, instinctively surrendering to the dance between your body and the ocean.
