Mowgli May is a DJ, radio presenter & artist living on Gadigal land in so-called Sydney. With selections as hot as her iconic hot pink hair, Mowgli can be trusted to start any party & have crowds eating from the palm of her hand with her triple threat crowd reading, stage presence & eclectic arsenal of genre bending and blending.

 

An especial favourite and resident DJ at Australia’s biggest LGBTQIA+ events, Mowgli has headlined Girls Club (MELB) twice, Queer Candy festival (Townsville), DJ’ed the Sydney World Pride Opening Concert alongside Kylie Minogue, Charli XCX and Jess Mauboy, and can be found on high rotation at Heaps Gay, Girlthing, Birdcage, Poof Doof and Empire.

 

Mowgli’s talents have allowed her to play in any setting with ease – from clubs, to music festivals, international artist support slots, celebrity, sports and fashion events & tour DJing, she takes the party with her, wherever she goes. She’s blessed crowds at festivals such as Summer Camp (Australia’s first touring pride festival), Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Listen Out, Field Day, and Groovin The Moo, and is a regular at Sydney’s most popping parties.

 

2022 saw her being crowned the triple j Mix Up resident for May 2022, playing at Splendour In The Grass, full run of Summer Camp festival tour, tour DJ for Grammy-nominated Big Freedia (USA) Australia tour run, djing after the likes of Azealia Banks and Kehlani, and at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022.

 

Not just a DJ she’s also making a cultural impact, being named on Urban List’s “Meet 13 Women Challenging, Leading, And Shaping Culture In Sydney Right Now” for International Women’s Day in 2021, starring in a Footlocker campaign and a regular guest on Buzzfeed’s Youtube channel.

 

A brand favourite, she has been chosen to DJ for brands like Google, TIktok, Snapchat, Beats By Dre, Pedestrian, BWS, Little Creatures, Alize, Fireball,  Puma, Fitbit, Sephora, Benefit Cosmetics and hosted panels for ToneDeaf.
