It's been one month since Tommy Trash, one of Australia's biggest dance music exports, dropped his epic new track 'Sinners' featuring Daisy Guttridge. The track is Tommy like you've never heard him before; delicate piano tones and the graceful vocals from Daisy weave together seamlessly atop gentle house beats, resulting in one of the most honest pieces of music we've come across in recent years.
This new sound didn't surpass his fans – the song has been doing the rounds on radio in Australia and around the globe, with shout outs from Billboard, EDM Sauce and Dancing Astronaut.
Now Trash has dropped a lyric video for the song on Facebook, with a message about its meaning:
"Sinners" is a song for anyone who has ever experienced discrimination. For anyone who has ever experienced hate. For anyone who has ever been told they cannot live an authentic life. If you take control of the negative words people try to use against you they become powerless to them and powerful to you.
We are proud advocates of the LGBTQ+ community as we believe everyone should be able to experience love and happiness regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
We stand with Australia during the current marriage equality vote and hope that "Sinners" can give strength to those who need it, and maybe even help open the hearts of those whose are still closed.
