Your Top 5 Must See Splendour Acts

Every year we wait ever so patiently for the next Splendour line-up to be released and every year we are over the moon with the artists we get to see! The dance acts are obviously the ones we have our eyes on and if you have been to any festival ever then we already know what Peking Duk, RL Grime & Slumberjack are like live, but what about the rest? Here are our Top 5 must see Splendour acts for 2017:

1. Kilter

One of the hottest touring artists right now is our friend Kilter! Currently touring Australia and already booked in to Spilt Milk later this year it is no surprise that this rising star out of Sydney is loved by festival goers and from all corners of the globe with a MASSIVE 35 million streams amassed online! Kilter brings more than just great music to his live performance with his hands flying fast between keys, sample pads and the drumsticks. With the recent album release of 'Through The Distortion' and the 'I Hear You' music video (see below) there is a lot of new music we can expect to see in his set. We can't recommend it any higher to have Kilter in your Splendour timetable!

2. Luke Million

After a massive 2016 tour through Australia, United States & Canada we have an opportunity to see Luke Million at this years Splendour! It is quite likely you have heard his version of the 'Stranger Things' theme song which was added across the board to Triple J. Now out with his brand new single 'Back to the Rhythm' we are very excited for Luke's live performance, hopefully you get the chance to see him at Splendour on the Friday!

3. Set Mo

Set Mo are kicking off their national tour with Splendour in the Grass! The duo started off by meeting at a club in Sydney and have since created the smooth, evocative production sound that traverse the boundary between club and commercial. With their hit single 'White Dress' receiving over 10 million streams online the boys are ready to take the Splendour crowd head on!

4. Kinder

You might have seen them at a variety of club events recently around Australia, Kinder have been playing too many events to keep track of! With titles like 'Groovin the Moo' and now 'Splendour in the Grass' under their belt the Kinder sisters are one to keep an eye on! Currently working on an EP due for release this year maybe we will see a sneak preview of it in their set. Catch Kinder mixing live on Triple J below for a little taste of what you will experience at Splendour.

5. Late Nite Tuff Guy/DJHMC

Cam Bianchetti who goes by the aliases 'Late Nite Tuff Guy' and 'DJHMC' delivers two different performances to be seen! DJHMC (performing on the Friday) is called the godfather of techno for a reason! Topping the German dance charts and having his release 'LSD' included in Carl Cox's classic mix 'FACT 2' we can expect to see a live performance showcasing his love for both techno & house music. Late Nite Tuff Guy (performing Saturday) with his steamy disco edits is known for reworking vintage disco and soul tunes into modern club classics! With previous festival experience at Rainbow Serpent & Lost Paradise this musical alchemist will prove to us that disco is still a strong force in the dance scene.
